Vincenzo GALDI (1871-1961), attributed to. Study of male nude, circa 1910. Period silver print, 16.5 x 22.5 cm. Monogrammed Al.425 in pencil. Small tear restored at the bottom. Known for his erotic photographs and artistic nudes, especially male nudes, Vincenzo Galdi began his photographic career as a model, student, assistant, and lover of the photographer Wilhelm von Plüschow, who lived in Via Sardegna 34 in Rome. Having become a photographer in his turn, he shares the models and inspiration of his master, although his personal production is often more sultry than Plüschow's.
