Yvon ADAM (1932-2017). La Croupe Davis, 2017. Print enhanced with pastel, 26 x 35.5 cm. Signed, dated, numbered and titled below. An eclectic Belgian artist, draftsman, engraver, photographer and painter, Adam was professor of graphic arts at the Institut des Arts Décoratifs in Liège from 1961 to 1974. He is remembered for creating banknotes for the National Bank of Belgium. But his great subject of inspiration remains Woman, with a universe not unlike that of his neighbors, the Pataphysicians....
