Yvon ADAM (1932-2017). The 2 Friends, 2011 and 2016. 2 pastel-enhanced prints, 36 x 25 cm and 32.5 x 24 cm. Signed, dated and numbered, one titled on verso. An eclectic Belgian artist, draftsman, engraver, photographer and painter, Adam was professor of graphic arts at the Institut des Arts Décoratifs in Liège from 1961 to 1974. He is remembered for creating banknotes for the National Bank of Belgium. But his great subject of inspiration remains Woman, with a universe not unlike that of his neighbors, the Pataphysicians....
