Edouard Denis BALDUS (1813-1889). Viviers, 1861. Original salted-aluminum paper print mounted on card, 31.2 x 43 cm. Signed E. Baldus and captioned with a black wet stamp on the mounting board. Baldus PLM 1861. Each "Paris à Lyon à la Méditerranée" print from 1861, was commissioned by the Board of Directors of the Southern Region of the PLM railway company. These photographs are considered icons of nineteenth-century historical architectural photography.
