[Single copy, illustrated with 18 watercolours]. D. DIVORNE. Flesh Flowers, 1966. Original composition by D. Divorne from an anonymous text. Binding by P.-L. Wermeille, after a model by D. Divorne. Large folio of 38 leaves in a book-shaped box, untitled, in full morocco from Cap bleu nuit. Golden calf slice. Silk interior. On the whole binding, mosaic composed of 22 colours including 3 in suede, 2 in natural calf and 17 in oasis, 24 x 30 cm. Brown half oasis case, Paris paper plates, gold title (Pierre-Louis Wermeille, 1966. "This work was made a unique copy on vellum from Rives à la cuve, Geneva, August 7, 1966. Anonymous maxims, all the text of which is handwritten in black ink, illustrated with 18 original watercolours, 13 illustrating the text and 5 composing the suite, by Daniel Divorne (1934-2003). Preface by Michel Monnard. Divorne was director of the Centre genevois de la gravure contemporaine from 1966 to 1986. As an engraver, he produced numerous prints for the international artists who came to work alongside him at the Centre: Max Ernst, Antonio Saura, Roberto Matta, Pierre Alechinsky, John Armleder, etc. Attached: numerous documents with manuscripts of Divonne and Wermeille, including the brochure of the retrospective exhibition of hand-made bindings for the 20th anniversary of the Wermeille workshop, dedicated to Gérard Nordmann, where the bookbinder-gilder thanks the bibliophile for his loan: "To Mr. Gérard Nordmann. Thanks to your kind loan, it is with pleasure, during the 20 years of the workshop, that I was able to find myself among all these works, realized and loved in their own way and that I had seen leaving sometimes with nostalgia.
