Sergije GLUMAC (1903-1964). Ithyphallic scene, ca. 1925. Watercolour drawing, 31.6 x 22 cm. Croatian artist, graphic designer and pioneer of graphic design, as well as decorator, Glumac lived in Vienna and Belgrade, and then spent most of his life in Zagreb. He studied with André Lhote. As early as 1926, he participated in a famous international exhibition, International Theatre Exposition in New York. He excelled in making stage sketches and avant-garde theatre costumes Important portfolios: The Metro , 1928, (acquired by the British Museum), and Beton , 1930.
