Jim AMARAL. Landscapes. Le Soleil Noir, Paris, 1977. Large folio, 50.2 x 39.5 cm, containing 7 coloured etchings, drypoints and aquatints, each signed, titled and numbered, protected by 7 printed streamers, grey cloth slipcase, titled black morocco label, a window on the front cover opening onto an original pencil drawing, 26.5 x 23.5 cm, signed and dated 76, placed under the altuglass on the first cover. First edition printed at 77 copies on vellum. Each copy has an original drawing by Jim Amaral on the first cover and 7 etchings and drypoint engravings in colour, titled, numbered and signed in graphite by the artist. The text is extracted from a fragment of Oedipus-King translated by Robert Brasillach in his Anthology of Greek poetry published by Stock. Designed by François Di Dio and bound by Jean Duval. Brand new in its original box.
