Cami Robert dit Camy (1900-1975) Portrait of Auguste Pavie 1847-1925 Etching on Lana paper Signed lower right. Robert Cami is an illustrator, stamp designer and engraver of worldwide fame. His work earned him the 1928 Grand Prix de Rome for Engraving. Auguste Jean Marie Pavie (Dinan 1847-1925), was a French diplomat and explorer. He was called "the barefoot explorer", he recognized and brought to France a notable part of Indochina including Laos. It is probably an unrealized project of commemorative stamp.
