Hermann RATZERSDORFER (1815-1891) attributed to, False rock crystal bottle cut and mounted in vermeil with polychrome enamelled decoration enamelled polychrome decor revealing an animal register of which lizards, and a set of garnets in the taste of the Renaissance. Austro-Hungarian work, circa 1870, inspired by the works of the workshop of Valerio Belli, revealing the Rothschild taste. 14 x 6 cm - Weight: 522 gr Chips and inclusions to the crystal, small lacks to the enamel, small restorations. Hermann Ratzersdorfer is a Viennese goldsmith specialized in objects mixing enamel and mounted rock crystal. Received master in 1842, supplier of the Habsburgs in 1844, he is successively medallist at the Universal Exhibition of Paris in 1855, London in 1862, and finally Vienna in 1873.
