Edward POWER - Lot 107
Edward POWER (active between 1818 and 1834) Silver teapot first title Irish 925/000. It rests on a chased pedestal decorated with roses and fruits, the lower part decorated with a frieze of rocaille the lower part decorated with a frieze of rocaille, revealing a body and chimeras mixing griffins and fish tails. At center, two cartouches, one engraved with the initials "CC", circled with acanthus, foliage and rocaille. The handle in and embossed silver, with a support thumb melted of an acanthus. The elongated spout alternating chased flowers, arabesques and arabesques and shells. The lid is connected to the piece by frieze of shells and fruits, it is composed in two and ends with a stylized raspberry seed. Dublin, 1825 (letter E). Punched with the Minerva second title at the time of its importation. Height : 28 cm - Length : 28 cm Width : 17 cm - Gross weight : 1100 gr A slight shock.
