House of CHRISTOFLE (since 1830) Pair of five-armed silver-plated bronze torches decorated with rocaille movements, foliage foliage and acanthus leaves. The whole is encircled by a threaded axis ending in a sixth fire. It bears the Christofle square mark written in full, that of the period between 1844 and 1935, and the number 1317275. 54 x 30 cm Excellent condition, but a cover is missing. Work of the House of Christofle made around 1890 after the drawings of Juste Aurèle Meissonier (1695-1750), ornamentalist of King Louis XV. The House of Christofle has been reissuing this model since the years 2000 in a less detailed way under the name of model: "Trianon".
