Jean-Claude-Augustin BOULLENC (died in 1748) A violin-shaped wall clock in blackened wood and Boulle marquetry of gilded brass and tortoiseshell, topped by Urania, allegory of astronomy and astrology. The gilt brass dial and enamel plate with Roman numerals on a blue background and signed "Boullenc Paris". The base with a warrior sitting on a shell. It stands on four claw feet. Regency period work. Height : 85 cm 85 cm - Width : 35 cm - Depth : 16 cm Wear and tear, the movement to be revised. Jean-Claude-Augustin Boullenc (died in 1748), clockmaker working in Paris, Grande rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine, under the sign of Soleil d'Or.
