Louis CARROGIS CARMONTELLE (1717-1806) called Carmontelle, attributed to Rare pair of "dressed gouaches" representing a couple of quality people. Watercolors embellished with painted silks and enhanced with white. Straw marquetry decorated with furniture and tableware, on one: a chest and a column topped by a Chinese vase, on the other: a playing table on which rests a chessboard, left a fan. French work from the end of the 18th century. 27 x 21,5 cm at sight Louis XVI period frame alternating three rows of pearls and gadroons with a Carmontelle cartouche.
