Sloping writing desk in rosewood and rosewood veneer inlaid with geometrical patterns, the desk reveals a compartment and ink cups. The flap is lined with green leather. Work signed on the lock TAHAN in PARIS. 19th century Height : 25 cm 25 cm Width : 33 cm Tahan celère cabinetmaker - table maker of the XIXth century, nicknamed " prince of the small cabinet making ". He won a silver medal at the 1849 exhibition of industrial products, and became the Emperor's supplier in 1855.
