Paul Eugène MESPLÈS (1849-1924). Souvenir du bal des Quat'z'arts, circa 1895. Large etching, 24 x 70,5 cm and the sheet 47 x 80,5 cm. A figure of Montmartre, Paul-Eugène Mesplès had the nickname of "painter of the dancers". The Quat'z'arts ball was a private ball organized, from 1892 to 1966, by the students of the National School of Fine Arts in Paris.
