[ENRICHED ARTIST'S COPY, FROM ONE OF THE RAREST CURIOSA] Pierre LOUŸS - [Marcel VERTÈS]. Pybrac. Illustrated with thirty drypoints by an unknown artist. Paris, at the expense of an amateur, 1928. 2 volumes in-4 of 87 pages, filled covers printed in black, folder, damaged case. Illustrated with 31 original engravings, of which 11 hors-texte, title included, and 20 engravings in the text by Marcel Vertès who was also the editor of this work. This is one of the most beautiful and rare bibliophilic productions of the artist. Artist's copy containing a watercolor, 4 original sketches, a colored suite, a suite on Japon nacré of 27 plates (out of 31), 5 plates refused, a suite in first state of 27 plates (out of 31), 8 plates in duplicate and the copperplate of a refused plate. The publisher Somogy acquired this copy from Marcel Vertès in Paris around 1960, and sold it to the great bibliophile Karl-Ludwig Leonardt: "Exemplar wurde dem Verleger Somogy ca. 1960 bei Vertès in Paris erworben und an mich weitergegeben."
