Bruno BRAQUEHAIS (1823-1875) attributed to. Nude with veil and pearls, circa 1855. Stereoscopic daguerreotype finely enhanced in color, 8.5 x 17.2 cm. Colored by Laure Gouin-Braquehais. Most probably Joséphine Eutrèpe Lécurieux, born in 1841. Arrested for the first time in 1860, Joséphine was sentenced to two weeks in Saint-Lazare prison. She was sentenced again in April 1861 for theft, then registered as a prostitute. Provenance: Ader, lot n°1, November 12, 2016.
