(SELF-EDITED VOICE OF Edmond HARAUCOURT) The Sire of CHAMBLEY. La Légende des sexes, poèmes hystériques, printed in Brussels for the author, 1882 (date on cover and title). Volume in-8 of 147 pages (folder, slipcase). Original edition printed on laid paper, in two editions, 212 copies in all, numbered and initialled by the author, including an unpublished poem by Haraucourt, signed and dated 1934, entitled Un rondel en l'honneur du nombril. It is accompanied by the suite of 12 colour lithographs by Georges Villa, published by the Bibliophiles du Cornet (Bibliophiles de Montmartre) in 1930 and printed in 60 copies, this one on vellum. The suite includes a shipment from Georges Villa to E. d'Alignan on a signed drawing, enhanced with gouache, by the artist. A poem, L'Hymne des noyés, printed in only 50 copies, with an autograph variant and the signature of Edmond Haraucourt, is enclosed. Haraucourt sends it to the same E. d'Alignan, a distinguished bibliophile of Le Cornet. Published in 1883 in Nevers while its author Edmond Haraucourt (1856 - 1942) was staying there as managing editor of La République. On the back of the false title: 200 copies in 2 series (series A: on laid paper; series B: on vellum) and 12 copies on Japan were taken from this work. The finished print shows: 15 April 1883.
